Wonderful bubbles, aromatic floral scents, crisp, sometimes acidic and a sweetness that is just the perfect amount. Welcome to the introduction to the most desirable sparkling wine in the world. A wine not asking for much time to age since it is best enjoyed young. Pairing this wine is fairly easy as it goes well with appetizers, entrees, and shareable foods like nuts, cured meats and a lot more. Some suggestions would be cold pastas, charcuterie boards packed with cheeses, olives and salty snacks as well as seafood, salads, or one of my favorites, pizza.
The name of said wine comes directly from a village called Prosecco in Italy. The glera grape is responsible for this beauty and is light green, thin-skinned and is most polularly known in spumante style (sparkling) though there are a few options for still wines in Italy that are a wonder to taste.
